About the 'Bespoke Living' Team

Bespoke Living is run by husband and wife team Ben and Cheryl Johns. Bespoke Living was established in 2017 and has since grown a solid client base of property owners, both residents and second homeowners, from across the world, and has become synonymous with a professional and efficient service.

Ben is an RHS medal-winning garden designer and experienced builder and landscaper, having owned and run a highly accredited landscape design, construction and maintenance company in the UK for over 14 years. This experience and knowledge of all aspects of high end landscaping and construction installation, renovation and maintenance- as well as client management- is put to great use in the services offered by Bespoke Living, as well as putting to use the experience and knowledge gained from renovating their own property and their work carried out here in France over the last nine years.

Cheryl also has plentiful experience having been a partner in the landscaping company for 10 years, with experience throughout the maintenance and client management sectors. Cheryl has also previously worked maintaining holiday properties and private residences in the UK and also has several years of experience in management and team leadership within the hospitality industry placing her perfectly to take care of your property, as well as to deal with the necessary communication and organisation.

Ben and Cheryl also run their own highly rated and 4-star classified Gîte and B&B showing that they have the necessary experience and eye for detail to offer a high level of standards when maintaining, preparing and caring for clients’ properties.

We are fully registered and fully insured for all of our activities, with many years of experience and a high level of standards and client relations. To our knowledge, we are the only company covering our area that is fully registered for the service we offer, including specifically having our main activity registered as keyholding and private security. We also both hold our Casier Judiciaire Bulletin No.3 (French equivalent of a CRB check) and are happy to provide copies of all paperwork to prospective clients. For our keyholding clients, this ensures we are able to provide you and your insurers or other authorities with the paperwork to prove your house is cared for appropriately in your absence.

We offer a professional, trustworthy and reliable service for one-off or regular clients and all services are tailored to the needs and demands of our clients. We take as much pride and care in our client’s properties as we would in our own home. We offer flexible working arrangements- either monthly contracts giving clients commitment of our services over a longer-term, or ‘on-demand’ just paying for the services you need, as and when you want them. We can offer and are registered for services covering all aspects of caring for and maintaining your property internally and externally, and are also able to appoint and manage third party trades on your behalf if necessary for specific services we are unable to offer (such as chimney sweeping, pest control, servicing).

Our charges are clear and concise with no hidden extras. We work quickly and efficiently with excellent working practices to ensure our services are as economical as possible for our clients yet provide the highest level of service. Correctly prepared invoices are issued monthly showing a full breakdown of services and charges.

Being a local company that can provide you with a professional service, outstanding references and client testimonials, you can rest assured that your property is in the best possible hands. We limit our clients so that we can offer the best service possible, enabling us to be responsive and flexible with our services. However frequently or infrequently you require our services, we can always be contacted quickly and responsively to deal with any issues, queries or requests.

A good level of French is spoken and we have a good network of contacts enabling us to deal quickly and appropriately with any situations or issues that may arise at your property whether this is dealing with utilities, authorities, artisans, guests, neighbours or anyone else we may come into contact within the course of managing and caring for your property.
